The warmth of the saunas will cause sweating, so it is important to arrive hydrated. Also, the infrared heat will be most effective if you have removed all makeup. In terms of clothing, a bathing suit or something equivalently lightweight is required in the Communal space. In your Private rooms, you may do as you please.
A common ratio of hot to cold is 4:1 – for example 12 minutes in the sauna, followed by 3 minutes in the plunge, and then repeat. At the start of your session, you may wish to spend more time in the sauna to really warm up. Our infrared saunas are set to 150°F to maximize health benefits.
Once you’ve worked up a good sweat, it’s over to the cold plunge. You can choose whatever approach you are comfortable with – just lower body, or perhaps building to up-to-neck and even several full body ducks for maximum chill. Our plunges will run from 45-55°F (but can go as low as 39°F)
After your session, you can recover in your Private room for the alloted time, or enjoy our fully appointed locker rooms. Once you leave, it’s important to continue hydrating.
We sell PWR Lift (a no sugar sports drink with 10 grams of protein) and the newest LMNT flavored carbonated water beverages packed with maximum electrolytes.
